STATEMENT OF FAITH

 

WE BELIEVE that there is one living and true GOD, eternally existing in three persons: The Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, equal in power and glory: that this God created all, upholds all, and governs all. As being a mystery, that one day all would be revealed by God.

WE BELIEVE that the SCRIPTURES of the Old and New Testaments are the Word of God, fully inspired without error in the original manuscripts, and the infallible rule of faith and practice.

WE BELIVE in GOD THE FATHER, an infinite, personal spirit, perfect in holiness, wisdom, power and love; that He concerns Himself mercifully in the affairs of men; that He hears and answers prayer; and that He saves from sin and death all who com to Him through Jesus Christ.

WE BELIEVE in JESUS CHRIST, God’s only begotten Son, conceived by the Holy Spirit. We believe in His virgin birth, sinless life, miracles and teachings, His substitution atoning death, bodily resurrection, ascension into heaven, perpetual intercession for His people and personal, visible return to earth.

WE BELIEVE in the HOLY SPIRIT; who came forth from the Father to convict the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment, and to regenerate, sanctify and empower for ministry all who believe in Christ; we believe the Holy Spirit indwells every believer in Jesus Christ and that he is an abiding Helper, Teacher, and Guide.

 

WE BELIEVE in the Spirit-filled life for walking in love, forgiveness and ministry according to the Bible. We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit and in the exercise of all the Biblical gifts of the Spirit for the empowering of believers to be witnesses in the world today.

WE BELIEVE that all PEOPLE are sinners by nature and choice and, therefore, are under condemnation; that God regenerates by the Holy Spirit, those who repent of their sins and confess Jesus Christ as Lord (Romans 10:9-10). That Jesus Christ fills the seeking believer with the Holy Spirit for power for service not just once, but daily.

WE BELIEVE in the universal CHURCH, the living spiritual body, of which Christ is the Head and all regenerated persons are members.

WE BELIEVE that the marriage has only one meaning: the uniting of one human man and one human woman in a single, exclusive union, as described in Scripture according to Genesis 2:22-24, Matthew 19:4-6, Mark 10:2-9, 1 Corinthians 7:1-16, Ephesians 5:22-33, Colossians 3:18-19. We believe marriage is a covenant between ONE MAN, ONE WOMEN, and GOD, the church has the responsibility, in its sole discretion, to evaluate the readiness of those seeking to enter into the marriage covenant. Pastor & Evnglst. Kevin Honeycutt may decline to officiate or host a marriage ceremony that is contrary to the ministries Statement of Faith, Church By-Laws, or the Bible.

WE BELIEVE that the Lord Jesus Christ committed two ORDINANCES to the Church: (1) baptism, and (2) the Lord’s Supper. We believe in baptism and communion open to all born again believers in Jesus Christ.

WE BELIEVE in the LAYING ON OF HANDS for the empowering of the Holy Spirit, for receiving gifts of the Spirit, for healing, and for recognition and empowering of those whom GOD has ordained to lead and serve the church. (Acts 13:3, Mark 6:5, 1 Timothy 4:14, 2 Timothy 1:6)

WE BELIEVE in the personal, visible RETURN OF CHRIST to earth and the establishment of His Kingdom, in the resurrection of the body, the final judgment and eternal blessing of the righteous and endless suffering of the wicked according to the sriptures. (Matthew 24:37-44, Acts 1:9-11, 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18, Revelation 1:7, Revelation 22:12, Colossians 3:4, 1 Corinthians 15:51-58)

WE BELIEVE in what is termed “THE APOSTLES’ CREED” as embodying fundamental facts of Christian faith, and endorse the historic orthodox creeds of the church.

WE BELIEVE we are not a perfect people; everyone can make mistakes. People may not love and forgive you for your mistakes, but JESUS CHRIST will!   GOD has an abundant, wonderful, exciting plan and future for your life, and HE is able to do exceedingly, abundantly, above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us.
